About Us

PE Teaching Enhancement Resource Network (PETERN) is jointly established and maintained by the Department of Health and Physical Education and Library at The Education University of Hong Kong.

The Department of Health and Physical Education has been designated for providing professional training and education for future and in-service school physical education (PE) teachers in Hong Kong to cope with the social environment challenges toward PE. The Library keeps focusing on the promotion and support for teaching and teacher education development by providing abundant resources and conducive conditions for knowledge exchange. Through collaboration between the two departments, the key objective of establishing the PETERN is to provide a platform for exchange of pedagogical design for pre- and in-service physical educators.

This Network also acts as a search engine for those physical educators by gathering various types of teaching resources together, thereby establishing a professional community of practice to promote sustainable development in PE. Some key contents that covered on the PETERN include lesson plans and links to e-resources.
